There is a difference between the image of a person and who that person actually is. Between the image of a moment and what that moment truly holds. My work is built on that distinction – and on the relentless pursuit of what lies beneath the surface.

With over 10 years behind the lens, I’ve come to believe that the most powerful photographs aren’t made – they’re recognized. They exist in the half-second before someone adjusts their posture, in the light that doesn’t wait, in the expression that belongs to no one but its owner. My role is to be present enough, patient enough, and skilled enough to catch it.

I photograph people the way they actually are – not the way they think they should look. That honesty is not a style. It’s a commitment.

Over the course of 4 years working as a portrait photographer in the US cruise industry,
I built a body of work grounded in genuine human connection. During one of those years, I ranked among the top 3 most sellable photographers fleet-wide – not by chasing volume, but by giving people images they actually recognized as themselves.

That same intent drives every portrait session, editorial, and project I take on today.

What I’m after isn’t flattery. It’s truth – and truth, when captured right, is the most beautiful thing a photograph can offer.
